Ricco Impastato and the rest of his team at Renaissance MMA have done it again. Saturday, November 10th, they hosted RMMA 4 and crowned amateur champions in both the lightweight and light heavyweight divisions.

The action-packed card, stacked with knockouts and submissions, were highlighted by “Chewy” Smith being crowned as the amateur champion at 205 pounds after a first round submission win (Americana) over Jason Goodin.

The 155-pound title was captured by Josh Solano after successfully going through a four man tournament. Solano defeated Jeremy Bufkin by TKO and later would win the title by knocking out Ryan Gauthier who had advanced by submitting Michael Monteleone via armbar.

Renaissance MMA is definitely on the rise and look for the 5th installment of RMMA in early 2008!
